City College of New York undergraduate MMUF fellow Yasmine El Gheur has been named the valedictorian of CCNY's Class of 2018 -- the second time in three years that a CCNY MMUF fellow has been CCNY's valedictorian or salutatorian, following Orubba Almansouri's being awarded the latter honor in 2016.
Yasmine's career at CCNY has inspired her mother, Kathryn El Gheur (pictured at right in photo) to return to college, and she is also currently enrolled at CCNY. Yasmine's BA is in art history, and she is the veteran of internships at New York City's Jewish Museum and The Frick Collection. She plans to pursue a PhD in art history, with a focus on contemporary North African and Middle Eastern art. Our warm congratulations to Yasmine!
