April 20, 2018

MMUF PhD LeRhonda (Rhon) Manigault-Bryant, an associate professor of Africana studies at Williams College, has been awarded a three-year New Directions fellowship from the Mellon Foundation. The fellowship, which includes an award of $300,000, provides faculty members with the opportunity to gain supplemental education outside their formal areas of study, including work on interdisciplinary projects. Rhon, who was originally selected as an MMUF fellow at Duke University and earned her PhD from Emory University, plans to pursue full-time training at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in film studies and documentary filmmaking with her award. Our warm congratulations to Rhon!
