Naomi Jackson, who was selected as an MMUF fellow at Williams College, published her first novel, The Star Side of Bird Hill, with Penguin Press in June 2015. The novel has already earned praise from across the media, including an "A" review in Entertainment Weekly; positive notices from Michael Schaub at NPR, Kirkus Reviews, and Buzzfeed Books; and a selection as one of oprah.com's summer reads. Naomi, who holds a master's degree in creative writing from the University of Cape Town, has also been named a "Writer to Watch" by Publishers Weekly. Our warmest congratulations to Naomi on the terrific success of The Star Side of Bird Hill!
